WHY we do what we do-
It has been said, "Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life," and never has a quote so perfectly described our feelings on our career of connecting people with horses. We genuinely enjoy sharing our professional equestrian knowledge, life's passion for this sport, and the animals with children. We firmly believe that teaching young children the basics of horseback riding helps develop strong character, discipline, and self-confidence, all while having fun outdoors with nature.
When should I start my child riding?
If your child gets excited at the sight of horses or constantly talks about how much they’d love riding lessons, it could be time to enroll them in the Learning Levels programs and be able to monitor their progress with an comprehensive program.
We have taken children as young as 3 & 4 to The Hampton Classic Horse Show. This varies for children.
We ask that children five years of age and younger start with our riders
six years of age and above can schedule an. This private lesson allows the rider ample time and experience to decide if they are comfortable at our ranch, with our horses and teaching style, before committing to buying a package of lessons. If for any reason, you are not 100% satisfied with your lesson, we will be more than happy to refer you to another place in the nearby area.
What are some benefits of enrolling your child in Horseback Riding Lessons?
CHARACTER- While riding a horse is always enjoyable for kids, many children also enjoy handling and caring for their horses. When a child feels connected to an animal or companion, they’ll naturally want to care for them lovingly and kindly. Learning to take care of a horse can help your child develop a host of positive traits, including patience, accountability, empathy, and self-discipline.
CONFIDENCE- Working with horses helps develop self-esteem. After all, there’s nothing quite like learning to connect and control a 1,000-pound animal!
If your child is new to horseback riding, they will be placed in lessons with other kids of similar ability and age. Kids feel much more comfortable and open to learning new things.
We've helped thousands of children learn to ride, care for, and connect with horses. All the while watching, a noticeable boost in their self-esteem and self-confidence takes off. The words we repeatedly hear from parents are how horseback riding has helped their kids become more focused, responsible, empathetic, gregarious, and evolved as they conquer new and exciting equestrian challenges.

If you’re looking for a fun activity to keep your child active and in shape, horseback riding lessons are a great way to give them a full-body workout! While many people think horseback riding is a simple activity requiring little-to-no body strain, horseback riders constantly have to use their muscles to control the horse and remain perfectly balanced.
Our Learning Levels Club- Rainbow level program is designed to allow children to learn and grow in a non-competitive and safe environment. We offer horsemanship activities for all skill levels, so your child can become comfortable around horses before getting in the saddle. This program introduces horseback riding and horsemanship skills paramount to building a solid foundation for Equestrians Excellence.

Equine Empowerment Foundation
Something extraordinary is officially in the making at Equestrians Excellence- the start of a not-for-profit, Equine Empowerment Foundation, dedicated to rescuing, and rehabilitating ex-racehorses by providing them with a second chance at life. Our mission is to not only give these horses a safe and loving home, but utilize their powers to heal, teach, and transform the at-risk youth in our community, by empowering them through interactions with our horses.
Equestrians Excellence llc has always strived to educate kids and adults alike in proper horsemanship skills, by fostering a positive relationship between humans and horses.
