Why We Do What We Do
They say, "Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life," and this quote perfectly encapsulates our feelings about our career in connecting people with horses. We take immense pleasure in sharing our professional equestrian knowledge and our passion for this sport and these magnificent animals with all, especially children. We firmly believe that teaching young children the fundamentals of horseback riding helps cultivate strong character, discipline, and self-confidence, all while they enjoy the great outdoors and bond with nature.
If you're after a flashy place with a fancy fountain in the courtyard run by an overpowering, loud drill sergeant-type trainer, we might not be your cup of tea. And if you prefer an instructor who spends more time posing for social media than teaching, you might want to keep looking!
But, If you are looking for a riding program that values quality over quantity, emphasizes connection and cooperation with horses, and focuses on individual relationships, then we invite you to join our extended ranch family.
Discover the joy of riding while building a lifelong bond with these majestic animals.
We believe that true horsemanship goes beyond simply riding a horse. It involves understanding their nature, needs, communication, and working harmoniously to achieve mutual goals. We prioritize the well-being and happiness of our horses, ensuring they are treated with respect and kindness.
All our lesson horses are rescues and are being rehabilitated from various terrible past states and conditions. Much time and patience spent on restarting them has lent way for these horses to become fabulous lesson horses. As the horses learn to trust humans again, they also develop unique connections and bonds with the student riders. The special relationship between horse and rider is impossible to describe with words, so you will have to come and experience it for yourself.
2. **What are the benefits of enrolling in horseback riding lessons?**
**Character Development**: While riding a horse is always enjoyable, many also find joy in handling and caring for their horses. Building a connection with an animal companion naturally inspires a desire to care for them lovingly and kindly. Learning to take care of a horse can help develop positive traits such as patience, accountability, empathy, and self-discipline.
**Confidence**: Working with horses helps build self-esteem. There’s nothing quite like learning to connect with and control a 1,000-pound animal! If you're new to horseback riding, you'll be placed in lessons with others of similar ability and age, making the learning experience more comfortable and open.
We have seen countless individuals flourish in their riding journey, gaining self-esteem and self-confidence as they conquer new equestrian challenges. Parents often share how horseback riding has helped their children become more focused, responsible, empathetic, and outgoing.
A Great Physical Workout- Horseback riding provides an excellent full-body workout, as riders constantly engage their muscles to control the horse and maintain balance.
Something extraordinary is officially in the making at Equestrians Excellence- the start of a nonprofit, Equine Empowerment Foundation, dedicated to rescuing, and rehabilitating ex-racehorses by providing them with a second chance at life. Our mission is to not only give these horses a safe and loving home, but utilize their powers to heal, teach, and transform the at-risk youth, or anyone within our community, by empowering them through paired interactions with our horses.
Equestrians Excellence llc has always strived to educate kids and adults alike in proper horsemanship skills, by fostering a positive relationship between humans and horses.
We hope to inspire confidence, compassion, and respect in all who participate in our programs. Stay tuned to find out more as we continue making progress in the Equine Empowerment Foundation.
