Private Lessons
One-on-one with a professional instructor, these individual lesson is focused on the rider’s needs. These lessons are ideal for riders wishing to progress from one level to another, for those less confident riders, for riders with specific goals, or for riders with special needs.
Evaluation Lesson- Where everyone starts
$125
Every new rider to our facility needs to start with this private lesson, including learning how to catch, lead, groom, and tack /untack the horse before and after the mounted study. This is an excellent introduction to our horses, ranch, and teaching style. Typically this lesson runs anywhere from 30-75 minutes.

Pony Ride Lesson

We have Pony Ride Lessons for the wee little ones (ages five and under) we have- pony rides. Which requires at least one of the parents or guardians to walk alongside the horse to help support the child during the 15 minutes walk around the arena and barn area.
Group Lessons
The group lessons allow learning with other riders of a similar level. The intermediate group lesson is beneficial once the rider walks and trots independently. It will enable the rider to follow another horse and establish balance and position in the rising trot without focusing so much on steering.

2 Hour Group Horsemanship Lesson

This unmounted lesson typically runs 75-120 minutes and teaches everything from the Evolution of the horse, behavior, feed, equine first aid, show preparation, grooming, tacking (saddle and bridle), different breeds, colors, and types of horses, and feeding (to name a few). Some classes are with outside vendors and other trainers that visit; veterinarians, dentists, chiropractors, and farrier. This class runs the 1st and last Saturdays from 10:30 am-noon. Free for Equestrians Club Subscribers.
Private Beach & Trail Lessons
Getting out of the arena is sometimes the best way to learn, for some learning styles. So let's take riding to the trails or the beach!. Also, a wonderful opportunity to view beautiful nature in the area we are so blessed to live in. Call to schedule these appointments, typically run least 2 weeks in advance depending on the season.
Beach Riding Lesson
$200/Hour
Always wanted to ride a horse along the golden pacific coast beach? A beach riding lesson is your opportunity to book a private beach ride lesson. Why not learn as you ride the golden coast watching dolphins swim past? We ride at the student's pace and level. How else could a 1-hour riding lesson become a memory of a lifetime? We trailer the horse to a local beach during low tide and schedule at 7 days in advance. Limited Availability.
Beach Pony Ride Lesson
$100/20 Minutes
Has your child been asking for pony rides? Want to go one step above the typical pony ride? How about a pony beach riding lesson for the little one ages 6 and under.We bring the pony to the local Oxnard Beaches, Monday-Wednesdays times dictated by the low tide charts. Ask about the pony photo opportunities available for photo shoots. Call for more information or to schedule your child's most memorable moment that will last a lifetime!
Trail Ride Lesson
$185/Hour
Take a lesson on the local trails with picturesque coastline views and let the scenic natural beauty of the area and its wildlife recharge your soul. Lessons run 45-95 minutes with a two hour minimum charge.
We haul to all local trails within 15 mile radius of the ranch. We are happy to try new trails at the riders request; additional hauling fees outside of the 15 miles will be billed at $4/mile.
Monthly Horse or Pony Leasing Options
Have a favorite lesson horse? One way to assure you have your favorite horse for your lesson is to half-lease. This gives you 3 days a week with your favorite horse/pony; to ride in your lesson and practice what you've learned in your lessons. Make sure your favorite horse/pony is always available for your lessons days and times. 1./2 Lease required for showing. Talk to your instructor about 1/2 leasing. Kids Equestrian School (KES) will resume in June 2023.
Enroll your child in the Equestrian School for kids. We ensure that each student receives a proper education. Whether they are complete beginners or are looking to upgrade their riding skills, Equestrians Excellence school for kids is a fun experience learning about horses and making friends! Meets Saturdays 12:00 pm- 2:00 pm, Only 8 students a class, with a ratio of 1 instructor to 4 kids.
